She-Hulk, also known as Jennifer Walters, is a Marvel Comics superhero. She first appeared in *Savage She-Hulk* #1 (February 1980).
Jennifer Walters is a lawyer and the cousin of Bruce Banner (the Hulk). After being critically injured, she received an emergency blood transfusion from Banner. This transfusion imbued her with similar, though significantly less powerful, Hulk-like abilities, transforming her into the She-Hulk.
Unlike her cousin, She-Hulk generally maintains her intelligence and personality in her transformed state. While she possesses great strength and durability, she is typically more controlled and articulate than the Hulk.
